Practice Schedule

Foothill Shotokan focuses on individual training with one-on-one instruction as well as group practice. All sessions are lead by instructors with decades of experience. The monthly fee for adults is $30.00 for residents and $32.00 for non-residents.

New and intermediate students:
Monday and Wednesday, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the ARD gym, 123 Recreation Drive in Auburn, CA.

Brown and black belts:
also meet Saturday, 7:00 to 8:30 a.m., at the Recreation Gym on Richardson Drive in north Auburn, CA (across from Chana High School).

NEW! Kid’s Karate Class

Marty Cullenward teaching kids karate class

New, dynamic, and fun course for kids wanting to learn self defense as a traditional art, not as a sport. Emphasis will be made on basic techniques such as kicks, blocks and punches, and carry through to more advanced movements such as kata (forms), escape techniques, throwing (and falling!) and safe sparring. Lots of one-to-one instruction, all the while instilling positive reinforcement and discipline for self improvement and physical fitness.

Ages: 8 - 12. Open to boys and girls of all levels, beginning to advanced.

Instructor:Mike teaching kids karate class Marty Cullenward, 5th dan black belt with 4 additional black belts assisting.

Practices: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:15 - 6:00 pm.

Fees: $30.00 per session ($15.00 per month).

Sessions: July 9 - August 29, 2007.
